My amazing journey in amateur radio began in 2018 when I could make my first QSO with the educational call sign DN1PIA. After this QSO I was 100% sure, that I want to take my amateur radio exam. After studying three months, I passed the Extra Class Exam in July 2019 at the age of 12. At this time, I was the youngest radio amateur in Germany, holding an Extra Class license and from this time on you can hear me with my personal call sign DL7PIA on the bands. I love CW, DXing, contesting, to operate portable (POTA, WWFF, SOTA) and to build my own antennas. For some, Ham Radio may not be a common hobby, especially not in my age group or for a woman. But I love it! It is so much more than just a hobby, it´s my passion. Ham Radio has changed my life and my perspective on many things and has already enriched my life with many wonderful moments, experiences and friendships!
